Has anyone here had the same problem ive been having trying to get the legs welded in for the horizontal baffle, there saying they wont weld cast aluminum,i went to four different places, So is it really needed, mine being held with the two hex bolts on the vertical baffle stays in pretty stiff, I still have the legs inplace but not welded in, so the play is like 1mm up or down. any comments on this
you can also drill holes thru the pan and bolt it in (use sealing washers to that it doesnt leak). but it should not be a problem to weld the alum pan, we weld them over here. find a good welding shop that can weld aluminum. John
Hi' Arjan. This oilpan: Has the partnumber: 11131311391 Remember it gets supplied without the baffeling.
I'm about to fit John's horizontal baffle. The package came with a small hedge, I searched for but couldn't see the use of it, what's it for?
the small piece is to mount on top of the stock vertical baffle (if you have it) using the short spacers supplied. it goes between the stock vertical baffle and the horizontal baffle. if you have a taller aftermarket vertical baffle, then you dont need to use it. John
Hi John - do you have a feel for the best set-up ; the stock horizontal baffle with your vertical baffle or the extended horizontal baffle?
It doesnt matter. If you have an aftermarket taller vertical baffle, you can make the horizontal baffle work. If you still have a stock vertical baffle, then you add the small vertical piece and the 2 short spacers supplied. In both instances, the horizontal baffle sits up higher (as intended). If your aftermarket vertical baffle is TOO tall, then you should trim it down by a small amount so that the horizontal baffle doesnt sit too high. (any shop can do this). John
