The top oil pan baffle (horizontally mounted) conversion for the stock oil pan is available now.
The baffle will also work on other oil pans. Reason to use it is to prevent
oil going into the timing case under heavy braking.

the price is 105 euro. I dont know what shipping is yet, but I think
it will be about 15-20 euro. I have a list of names that already
signed up some time ago, I will send out mails to those people to see
    if they are still interested.

It should also work on your vac oil pan Thomas as its missing this kind
    of baffle.

PS: for those interested, please send email with your shipping adress.

Is there some way to confirm this? I plan to install a VAC oil pan soon. I've never had an opportunity to study the internal layout. The description on the VAC website of their "New Upgraded Model" mentions a horizontal baffle.

It should fit because all the pans are the same when it comes to the
mounting. they are all geometrically the same, just some are wider.

that pan does indeed have a top cover plate, but its on the wrong side.
what we are interested in is the plate above the oil pump pickup.

nobody, in all these years, has figured this out. Im surprised myself.
look at any website in the USA, and you wont find a single one that has
understood the value of the top cover plate. Ive been running a plate like
this for years on the Nuerburgring. the heavy braking into corner scenario
happens often on the ring, this is exactly what you need.

Here are some pictures> The oil pans are indeed the same dimensions.

Edit: I might have to trim your baffle to fit it into this oil pan.

yeah, the top plate on the vac is on the wrong side of the oil pan.
unless youre willing to trim things, it may not fit. i did not see how they
welding things in there so tight. I thought their baffles were screw on type.
it would be a matter of remove and replace.

By the looks of it this baffle wont work with Uwes one. :(

Andrew, it doesnt need to work with it.

John surely it would be good to have some kind of 'sideways' protection to stop the oil from moving around too much when cornering?

Your one only looks like it baffles to the stock height only.

And some of us who have fitted Uwes baffle 'may' have thrown the origional away because of broken rivets etc. (ive kept mines but i thought about it)

Johns horizontal baffle looks like a motorsport one mounted at the lower level, the hole for the timing chain may not be required but it would help towards holding the oil back when you are hard on the brakes. The standard sump scares me because its shallow and has a ramp at the front -its a recipe for disaster i.m.h.o. I took it on myself to do a similar thing in the interests of longevity.

I dont see what the drilled horizontal plates are doing on the previous pictures although the extra capacity does help alot

Little "feet" (supplied) are used to mount the right side to the bottom of the oil pan.
They are either welded onto the bottom of pan or you could drill thru and
    bolt to the bottom side.

I have been thinking for a while to make a horizontal baffle which will fit the ones I currently make. Just didn't get round to do it. You need a complete bottom end to do it right and I didn't fancy to take my olipan off.
