Hi Alex, If your going to Supercharge then I would not change the Camshafts. You will find much better mid range Torque with the std Cams, making it really nice as a daily but still with more punch at peak revs for use on Track. If your not going to fit the Blower then the higher lift Cams with larger TB makes really good gains, as you already know. Will PM you about the Diff as a Courier we use has an offer on next month. Regards, The Gorilla.
11-10-2012 Today I installed a new mesh grill in the front bumper. It looks better and it's aprox. 150g lighter than the other one. It's from post 2001 Z3s. One photo with the bumper out.
25-11-2012 I got rid of some covers and insulation from the trunk and reduced the weight by 12 kilos.
26-12-2012 A lot of big projects start with something small. I started by wanting to fix some rust from the rear struts, and install the GC top mounts which I recently bought. I removed the rear shocks and installed the new GC ones. The quality is simply amazing. I cleaned the rust from the rear struts and then painted them with anti-rust and finally black paint. It seems that I am responsible for this rust, as a year ago that I had changed the suspension I had been in a hurry and hadn't have flanges for the top mounts, so I had put plain black tape. It seems that water and salt was kept there and rusted the struts. Then… I started thinking that I should probably install the new differential that I have got from a friend who I thank very much Then… why don’t I rebuild the rear axle with new bushes and fix the rust issues ? So the exhaust is out, along with the transmission axle, differential etc. The M3 E30 diff has different output flanges. Left the M3 E30 one and right is the Z3 one Significant difference After some work I swaped them. Here is a photo of the infamous Torsen diff that all simple Z3s (non-M) with the LSD option had. And here is the M3 E30 diff.
