Hi all!! My name is Alexandre, I'm from Portugal and I'm into cars for as long as I can remember...! After some years looking, I finally bought a '88 M3 a couple weeks ago, and I'm really excited about it. In fact, I can't stay more than 2 or 3 days without driving it!! I hope to share and specially to learn more about this iconic car. Regards, Alexandre
The car was originaly bought in Basel (Switzerland, hence the cat version), in Jan 27th 1989, by a portuguese man who lived there. In 2001 he came back to Portugal, brought the car with him, and registered it here. The clocks reads 113kkms, and there's FSH till 108kkms. It features manual windows and sliding roof, very unusual stuff in the M3. There isn't air con also! The car is in very good condition throughout, with just the shocks in need of replacement, because as far I can tell, they are the original ones!
Maybe you're right, Kiko, although the car still fells very tight and responsive. Next week the new shocks should arrive and I'll have a detailed look of the bushings when doing the shocks. Artik, I already know Kiko! In fact, I had the pleasure to be on the passenger seat of a very nice EVO II he had a couple of years ago, for about a dozen laps around Vasco Sameiro Circuit, in Braga.
Welcome Alexandre, You have a nice example M3, very clean and well kept enginebay! Also very cool that you are the seccond owner of the car. I think that will be very rare to come by these days. On the forum you can find tons of info about the M3, when you are not out driving, you can read up a few old posts. Cheers, Karim
Hi Alexandre, Welcome to the forum, from your photos your car looks like it has been very well looked after. Dave.
