This exhaust system is now available and features: -- dual 54 mm pipes -- X-pipe (for superior exhaust scavenging and torque) -- 2x 100 CPSI metal race cats (1 catalytic converter per pipe) -- 2x center absorbers straight thru design (1 per pipe) boxed into single housing -- 1 rear muffler straight thru design -- twin tail pipe tips with internal baffles -- optional 54 mm 4-2 header The exhaust system is quiet (no fear of getting black flagged or failing sound tests) with no drones or disturbing resonances. Fitment is exceptional with no clearance issues to transmission tunnel or rear axle. Exhaust systems are built to order, lead time ca. 4 weeks. Exhaust system: X-pipe and metal race cats in housing: metal race cats and center absorbers in housings: Rear muffler and pipe tips with baffle inserts: 54 mm 4-2 header:
Looks very nice John! I've noticed the lambda sensor is not on the same place as in the original setup! Any reason for this change? Cheers
I might be blind and haven't seen it, but how much??? And more important, how much without the cats??
Too many questions, sorry... Also, I assume that this will bolt directly to the 50-50 header? At what level of engine prep would an exhaust like this be necessary or advantageous? Did you find that the 50-50 header limited your engine? Do you think a 50-50 header and Supersprint race exhaust (50mm) [other than the volume level] would restrict your motor? Thanks, Mike
Same here with all the questions above. No cats and shipping to the US? send pricing to m_us_e30@charter.net T
Who is building the system ? The guys in Bad Tolz ? I be interessted minus the cats and header. I have the 50/55 header will that be a good match to that exhaust ? Thanks Thomas
This setup was designed with 100 cell cats which dont really hurt the exhaust system performance, but since you dont need cats, I will figure out price minus cats. should have that on monday. PS: you can use it with a 50/50 header. the lambda connection on the 54 header is for a stock sensor and most of you would not be using this. the WBO2 sensor goes into the X-pipe as usual. John
the exhaust guy must be on vacation because I cant get a hold of him for over a week to get the price on the noncat setup. as soon as I have something I will post it. he cant be on vacation that much longer... John
south germany thomas If there is interest I can ask if there is some sort of rebate for say 5 exhaust systems ordered at once. Ill ask if they can do it. If interested email me. John
