S14 meeting 12. -13. August Nürburgring

Doesnt look like I can make it. I have problems
with the painter and am dissatisfied with the interior
painting. They have to do it again. That very likely
means I wont get the M3 out for the rest of the year.



Im thinking of going for the 4 day weekend and
renting a M3 race car from ring racing.

this is BS, but not much I can do about it.

My friend might be comming as well, he just picked up a US spec M3 and has done quite a few laps in his now sold M-tech II

Also I met a local bitburger that is a cecotto owner! the car is in imaculate shape, beautiful paint and interior with a carbon boxed 2.5L as well! i also told him about the ring meet but was unsure about the exact dates. since he had spent the day before at the ring, i figure he probably will come as well.

I might just rent a 120d or something to tool around in as my suspension on the M5 is still shoddy.

 

Have you booked the Pistenklause??? I know it's a long trip from Minuch.......

 

I was busy and forgot to make reservation.
How many people are going that weekend?

well, there is a place you can go outside of adenau
that is good.

when you come down the hill form the Ring to adenau,
instead of turning right, you turn left and its a restaurant
on the left side. good food and inexpensive.

then there is a pizzeria in Adenau that can fit about
40 people at once.

looks like things are slightly chaotic, which pretty much describes me ;smilie[78] Me and my mates are still interested in joining you folks if you make a reservation, but perhaps we can discuss it at the ring. I will be able to check my messages tomorrow, but them I'm off line. I went to the ring this saturday, but didn't see anybody i knew. how was the weekend for the rest of you guys?

 

I had a fantastic weekend! My car was running well and my suspension is finally in a state suitable for my driving.
Can't wait to go back

I have done 8 laps this time and have to admit I am getting hooked.....

But this time my car was giving me the right feedback which made things much nicer.

When playing with my shocks and springs previously, it turned out that one front shock was actually damaged.

This and shorten the bumbstops has transformed the handling together with the spring I had made from FAULKNERSPRINGS.

I am really happy with the setup :m:

But keep in mind I have done not evn 20 laps in total.
