I was invited to attend a local car show today (Sun 19 May) Only about 80 or so cars. I took some pics of some of the interesting stuff. E Types and F Type. It is huge! My friends Ultima GTR. 490hp LS3 chevy engine, absolutely first rate build. The Italian contingent... A couple of Quattros muscling in... A really nice Series II Jaguar XJ6 with a 4.2 sporting triple Webers... There was no concours as such, just each owner had to nominate a best in show car. Third place went to a rather nice original AC Second place went to an Aston DB5 (about £300,000) First place went (unbelievably and rather surprisingly) to this Well chuffed.
To be nominated as best in best in show, among that collection of stunning cars, is a just reward for the endless hours of effort you've put in to rebuilding that car to that standard. Well deserved.
