I'll be there - assuming the flooding subsides and KevinP is booked as well

Yep, I'll be there. The Cecotto is in having it's gear linkage sorted so I have more than 4th gear........but I should have it back mid week assuming the parts arrive with the normal efficiency.

I'm staying at some farmhouse with large rooms, bay window and four poster bed. Taking my wife and making a weekend of it - near Whashton Springs

Grant, any update on which car you will be in? What is holding you back from using the E30? I hope I haven't missed another thread......

I'm still remapping the car , shift lights to finish , PVR hard drive to fit under the dash , should be ready .

Spoke to Mark (Floody) he's coming Monday minus his E30 M3 .

Should be a good day if the weather holds out.

Don't mount the PVR solid. You will have no joy. Mine works lying in the glove box on something soft (more or less....)

It will be a good day as I've given up worrying about if it is dry, damp or fully wet just focus on enjoying myself.

I know Uwe , mine came with a nice padded bag , added some bubble wrap for extra protection , these hard drives don't like the vibration ...

neither HEAT! I had mine wrapped up in Hockenheim and it got so hot that I almost couldn't holdt it when I took it out of the bag to stop recording.
Mine even gets quite hot just with normal operation. What model have you got? They are really not meant to be in a car.
There is another solid state recorder called PVR500 used as a personal hidden recording device. Not much bigger in size than a credit card (but thicker), has even got a screen. But....£££££'s

It was a great day and good to meet you and your dad.

I missed your spin, which corner was it at and was it while it was wet?

    Cheers
    Kevin

Nope when it was dry and it was at sunny we didn't scrub off enough speed.

your car was an absolute weapon with those tyres!

"Sunny in" does arrive rather quickly and can catch you out.

What tyres were you running? I forgot to look......

Eagle F1's, the car seemed to understeer a lot.

well, that's why I never used them again!!! Falken FK452, half the price and as good as F1. If not better......

but understeer is a common "illness" of the M3 and needs some more work to get rid off it than just tyre change.

So what would be needed to stop it understeering?
